Dele Alli fined and handed one-match ban
Dele Alli will not be available for England’s World Cup qualifier against Slovenia, FIFA have decided.
The attacking midfielder has been fined and banned for one international match after gesturing with his middle finger when England faces Slovakia back in September

It was claimed the gesture was aimed at team-mate Kyle Walker but FIFA have deemed it offensive and unsporting regardless.
A draw against Slovenia on Thursday would see England confirm their place at next summer’s World Cup. Mauricio Pochettino said earlier on Friday that he wants Alli to be released from international duty.
I think if he is banned I would prefer him to stay with us working than to be with the national team. Then that is a decision between the FA and us. I have not talked to Gareth Southgate yet. [If he is banned] we will speak.
