Breaking Gist: Everton Fires Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman has left Everton after 16 months at the club.
Life has come at Koeman very fast. It was only a few months ago that the Dutchman was being linked with Barcelona as a potential replacement for Luis Enrique.

But after Everton’s 5-2 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, Koeman has left the club. The Toffees spent freely in the summer, incurring £142m in transfer fees in an effort to break into the top four after last season’s seventh-placed finish.
However, Koeman has failed to incorporate the new signings into a side capable of producing results and he has now paid the price. Everton have only managed eight points from their opening nine games and currently sit in 18th place in the Premier League.
They are also bottom of their Europa League group with just one point from three games. Shakhtar Donetsk boss Paulo Fonseca has been linked with the job, along with Eddie Howe, David Moyes and Carlo Ancelotti.
