Taxify “Bolt” has been hacked
Taxify “Bolt” has been hacked and Nigerians are livid about their credit/ debit cards being debited on Taxify app now turned Bolt.
They decided to call the ride-hailing company out on social media. However, some of them complained about the debits occurring in quick succession, while others said they were charged more than once for a single trip they made.
Meanwhile, Bolt Nigeria responded by saying that they do not store credit/debit card data and that their payments merchants or bank was possibly having the glitches.
Finally, they stated that they are currently working with payment processors to investigate the causes of the debits hiccups.

Bolt (Taxify) has not been hacked. Also, we do not store credit card data. Our payments provider is possibly experiencing issues which we are trying to clarify. pic.twitter.com/MGwKPiwUGs

We have received reports of riders getting multiple debit alerts.
We are working with our payment processors to investigate the causes of these debits.
Should you receive these debit alerts, please confirm against your bank statements to be sure actual sums were deducted.
