Choosing The Gender Of A Child

Choosing the gender of a child has nothing to do with to a particular sex position adopted. Well, according to several unfounded sources on the internet and wherever else, a couple can’t choose their child’s gender by adopting some specific sex position.

For example, there is the wild claim that to have a male child, one must have sex using doggy and missionary style. That simply untrue! There is no iota of truth in this claim, sex position does not have anything to do with choosing the gender of a child.

More insight in choosing the child’s gender:

The sex/gender of a baby is determined by the combination of chromosomes donated by the father and mother. A mother is only capable of donating an X- Chromosome (She has 2 X-chromosomes and donates one during fertilisation). The father, on the other hand, can either donate a Y- Chromosome or an X- Chromosome (His sex combination is XY) during fertilisation. When the father donates a Y, a male child is conceived and when he donates an X, a female child is conceived.

Furthermore, the donation of an X or Y chromosome by the father is not dependent on the sex position he adopts. What has been explained above is beyond the influence of sex positions or style.

Choosing your child gender:

After a lot of assiduous research, it is safe to say it’s very possible to determine the gender of your child by choosing to copulate on some particular days during your fertile window. This simply means that if you want a male child, you will have to copulate on the day of your ovulation or not later than 24 hours after ovulation has occurred but if you want a female you will have to get laid 2 to 3 days before your actual day of ovulation.

On a lighter note, the Man has a pair of sex chromosomes (XY), the X chromosomes are bigger than the Y chromosomes, hence swim slowly but have a longer life span, while the Y chromosomes are smaller hence, swim faster but have smaller life span than the X chromosomes.

On the day of the ovulation, if both X and Y chromosomes are released by the man during copulation, it’s only logical that the Y chromosomes get to the eggs first thus fertilizing it, which will give a male child (XY).  However, if the sexual intercourse takes 2-3 days before ovulation, the Y chromosome (shorter life span) would have been inactive before the eggs are released on the ovulation day, leaving only X  chromosome from the man to fertilize the woman’s X chromosome. which will gives a female child. (XX).

The logic behind calculating your ovulation period:

In conclusion, it is clear most ladies do not know when and how to calculate their ovulation period, this will give you an insight and it’s really imperative you know this little piece of information.

Ovulation happens about 14 days before your period starts. If your average menstrual cycle is 28 days, you ovulate around day 14, this means your most fertile days are days 12, 13,  and 14 respectively and if your average menstrual cycle is 35 days, ovulation happens around day 21, this also means your most fertile days are days 19, 20 and 21.
